intro and unboxing

everyone Tim Schofield here it's time to

do a video on the all-new pixel book go

the just announced Chromebook from

Google pretty excited to check this out

because I'm a big fan of the first pixel

book that Google did release actually

better revisit a video praising that

specific laptop so I'm hoping this lives

up to the hype and is just as good if

not better than the previous pixel book

shout it to Google for sending this over

I will not only unbox this laptop but

also show off a couple accessories that

go well with the pixel book go so let's

go and get started the unboxing of the

Google pixel book go let's go ahead and

get started now this is the black

variant there are multiple color options

I will link to it down below and if you

are curious at what specific model this

is this is the gen core i5 processor

eight gigs of ram 128 gig SSD and full

HD display continuing on and quickly

showing what comes in the box looks like

we do have a sleeve right here with a

getting started guide some Google

stickers with hashtag pixel book down

below and just some safety information

did you get a USB CD USB C charging

cable inside and thankfully this is

definitely gonna be longer than your

phone's cable obviously it being a

laptop you want a longer cable and of

course you do get your power brick as

well fairly small a very simple design

with one USB C slot and it is nice and

compact because you can actually put

down the prongs here to make it just a

square and if you're interested here's

the specs of that adapter now let's move

on to the pixel book go itself once you

peel off the packaging it down at the

bottom of course you do have that

textured bottom and you know in my

opinion that looks a little strange with

these ridges down at the bottom however

I rarely look at the bottom of any

laptop I own so I definitely prefer the

functionality of a little bit more grip

when holding out and carrying it because

of course it is a pixel book go so you

want to be able to use it on the go and

as always let's do the one-handed

opening test and it did pass looks like

it gets to about here so about straight

up ninety degrees before it starts to

lift up the bottom so you might have to

she had a second hand there to fully

angle it to the position that you want

but you will see it does say welcome on

the screen take this off reveals the

very clean-looking keyboard along with

two front firing speakers and your

trackpad in terms of ports very simple

on the left side you have a USB C slot

for charging charging indicator and a

headphone jack and then on the right

side is one more USB C slot and now that

we have everything out of the box and

ready to go I'm gonna run through the

startup process and only talk about

anything that's noteworthy so I did the

standard connect to Wi-Fi I installed an

update signed into my Google account and

you will see you can connect your phone

so you can choose the Android phone that

is synced up to your account and go

ahead and connect the two nice however I

wish they do implement more drag and

drop features etc hopefully that comes

in the near future on Chrome OS alright

so we are all ready to go and I'm

noticing some apps being added down at

the bottom that is because when I signed

in to my account it's synced with my

other Chromebooks you'll see they're

already being added down at the bottom

bar we can go ahead and press this

button where you can quickly search the

device apps and web if you swipe up here

is a full list of all of your apps

bottom right corner you can tap and you

have a bunch of different settings

nightlight cast your volume settings

you'll see smart lock is turned on so

will your phone will actually unlock

your Chromebook that we did just sync to

our device loading up Chrome for the

first time brought us to some special

offers for your Chromebook looks like

you get Google one with a hundred gigs

of storage when you purchase a new

Chromebook or pixel book and no you

don't just have to use the Chrome

browser you have full access to the

Google Play Store so as you can see it

is also a touchscreen so if I want to go

ahead and install a call a duty mobile

on this device I can go ahead and do so

waiting for download well it does so I

can continue to browse the web let's go

ahead and go to a web page loads right

on up one thing I'm looking forward to

is actually checking out battery of life

they have said you can get up to about

12 hours battery life using this

regularly and I'm pretty excited to

really test that with video watching

going through some email powering

through some work also would like to do

a quick test of the keyboard so I will

bump up the decibels after I type this

I'm really liking the feel of this

keyboard they're actually called hush

keys because they're so quiet but they

also feel so premium and smooth when you

type with it I loved the previous pixel

Books keyboard and I think I'm really

going to like this one as well of course

more on that in a little bit the pixel

book also has the Google assistant

built-in so you can use your voice to

activate it or just press the simple key

on the keyboard right here and you'll

see how can I help and right away by

default it looks like it defaults to

keyboard typing but I believe you can

change the settings so when you press it

it does go to your voice so I can say

what's the weather and it will go ahead

and do some searching and looks like it

will be pleasant today at 58 degrees you

can also use your voice what are the

ingredients of pancakes here's a summary

I know we'll go ahead and give you a

voice response when you talk to it

whereas you noticed when I typed it out

it didn't actually say anything to you

and as I promised some accessories for

your pixel book go this is a bellroy

sleeve for the laptop it even says made

for Google on the inside tag now opening

it on up does have a nice soft feel to

it it almost has those ridges like the

bottom of the pixel book go and there's

a magnetic snap so when you do close it

it will actually clip on and the keep

your laptop secure so putting it on in

you'll see fits perfectly fits snug and

you can snap it shut not only do you

have a sleeve but a bellroy backpack as

well a little latch here to open it on

up flipping it over there's a look at

the straps and then on the side here you

do have a little compartment here just a

side compartment maybe for your keys

sunglasses cell phone and then on the

inside very simple a nice compartment

for your pixel book go a lot of storage

space and a slot for a water bottle and

of course you do have front firing

speakers now which is a welcome addition

to the pixel book go want to test them

out real quick

just going to play a quick no copyrights
